The American University Intercultural Greek Collective (IGC) was created to support American University's culturally based fraternities and sororities. Established in January 2016 with four organizations, it has since expanded. These organizations focus on community building, leadership development, civic engagement, and lifelong membership. There are six historically Black sororities and fraternities, one Latina-interest sorority, and one Asian-American sorority.
