Our Purpose

Greek life was founded at American University in 1928. The National Panhellenic Conference at American University includes seven (7) active chapters: Alpha Chi Omega, Alpha Epsilon Phi, Chi Omega, Delta Gamma, Phi Mu, Sigma Delta Tau, and Sigma Kappa. Panhellenic is an umbrella organization for all seven (7) organizations listed. Our role at American University is to foster an interfraternal relationship between the university, organizations, and students.

The American University is led by an Executive Board, composed of elected leaders. At American, our board is fully representative of all Panhellenic chapters on campus. We ensure the a safe and an enriching experience for all members through the application of policies and procedures.
