What is Panhellenic?
The National Panhellenic Conference is an umbrella organization for 26 national sororities across the United States.
How many sororities makeup AU's Panhellenic community?
We have seven active chapters. They are Alpha Chi Omega, Alpha Epsilon Phi, Chi Omega, Delta Gamma, Phi Mu, Sigma Delta Tau, and Sigma Kappa.
Does financial aid cover the cost of sorority dues?
No. Financial aid, scholarships, and grants related to paying for college can not go towards covering the cost of dues. However, many national sororities and our local chapters have scholarship opportunities and payment plans for members.
How much does it cost to sign up for formal recruitment?
The fee for formal recruitment is $0 before January 1 and $5 from January 1 to January 4!
How do I sign up for informal recruitment?
Information about informal recruitment will be available in Summer 2023.
What are the dates for formal recruitment?
Formal recruitment will be from Jan 12-15, 2024.
Will formal recruitment be online?
Formal recruitment will be in-person for orientation, day 2, and day 3. It will be online for day 1 (13th).
What should I wear during formal recruitment?
There is no specific dress code regarding recruitment, but the level of formality increases each day.
