PHI SIGMA SIGMA

In 1913, seven extraordinary women founded Phi Sigma Sigma at Hunter College. Our founders wanted to start a sorority open to women of strong character regardless of background. For over 100 years, they strive to "aim high "under these ideals. Members of the Beta Upsilon chapter are leaders on campus as well. From SPA leadership program to AU Ambassadors and Orientation Leaders, to FSE Leaders, sports teams, Phi Sigs make their presence known at American.

Along with this many sisters have internships at places like National Geographic, the United States that, US Department of Health, the FBI, and more.

Phi Sigma Sigma holds our "Kickball for Kids"  tournament to promote college readiness and provide underprivileged children with school supplies. In the spring, Phi Sigma Sigma holds a Bocce tournament on the quad for Special Olympics. Bocce is a favorite memory of many sisters since the teams get to play alongside Special Olympians.

Our sister hold both of our philanthropies close to our hearts and love seeing the direct impact they have on our local community.

Dues for Phi Sigma Sigma are $670 for new members and $430 for initiated members (as of Fall 2019).
